Effective Time Management Skills for Doctors
We all know how busy doctors can be, with your
attention being pulled in a hundred different directions and not nearly enough
hours in the day to do everything you’d like to be able to. Effective time
management is an essential skill for every doctor, and knowing how best to use
your time can be a great way to alleviate stress whilst improving performance.
Our course is relevant to doctors of any grade or
specialty who feel that they could learn to better manage their time. The
programme takes a practical look at how you can utilise your time in a more effective
and productive manner, teaching you a positive approach that can be applied to
your everyday practice. The course is CPD accredited and meets the criteria of the Medical Leadership Competency Framework
. Through this course you will learn to:

Understand how clearly defining goals leads to a more focused approach to work and life

Name the five drivers and how to react to each
·
Define three approaches to planning
·
Name five time wasters and how you can deal with them
·
Define how to deal with interruptions, paperwork and telephone calls

Understand the benefits of effective delegation
·
Define the four prioritisation levels
·
Name four of life’s stress conundrums
The course carries 8 CPD points with 1 point being allocated to pre- and post-coursework each, and 6 points being allocated to the day’s classroom training.
