Module 2: Appraisal Skills for Doctors
We want appraisals to be rewarding and useful, not time-consuming or difficult
Niall Dickson, Chief Executive of the GMC.
The appraisal process is something that should be familiar to all doctors, but how much thought do you put into how to appraise one of your colleagues? The aim of this module is to provide you with the skills to effectively appraise the performance of a colleague, peer or student. Appraisals may be the only time of the year where you can have a close one-to-one talk or raise serious issues, and our appraisal skills training will make sure that both appraisers and appraisees gain the most out of the experience.
