Consultant Medical Interview Course
A good
interview can make or break any job application. By the time you decide to make
the step up to Consultant level, you’re no longer just showcasing your clinical
ability; you need to be able to clearly communicate your experience in leading,
managing and teaching, and the emphasis is on you to convince your interviewer
that you are suitably prepared to take the next step in your career.
This
course is aimed at senior doctors (ST7 and higher) who are applying for a
Consultant post in the UK. Every course is delivered by a Consultant who has
been where you are now and has the practical experience and knowledge to make
sure that you are as prepared as possible. During the course you will learn:
·
Make
yourself fully prepared and researched prior to your interview. Understand how
to equip yourself with the personal qualities and attitude needed for the
interview
·
The
importance of ‘soft’ skills in your approach to, and during, the interview
·
Understanding
the potential agenda at interview and questioning guidance for different
subject areas
·
How to
prepare and deliver a compelling presentation
·
Confidence
to communicate effectively using body language, correct tone of voice and
selection of words
·
An
understanding of key areas within the ‘organisation’ relating to CPD, clinical
audit, clinical governance and evidence-based medicine

end the interview
